Empower House is a community that provides empowerment for a more purposeful life after brain injury. We offer daily activities, social programs and additional resources to our clubhouse members and their families or caregivers.

The daily activity of a Clubhouse is organized around a structured system known as the work-ordered day.  This is an eight hour period, typically Monday through Friday, which parallels the business hours of the working community.  As a right of membership, Clubhouses provide members with opportunities to return to paid employment in integrated work settings through transitional employment, supported employment, and independent employment programs.  This includes both on-site and off-site support from Clubhouse staff and members.

Social and Recreational Activities

In addition to the work opportunities, Clubhouses provides social and recreational programs outside of the work-ordered day, including evening, weekend, and holiday programs.

Additional Services

Throughout the work-ordered day, members are given support and assistance in acquiring the best available services in the community, such as general medical services, affordable and dignified housing, and accessing benefits, etc.  Clubhouses can also help with budgeting, advocacy, legal issues, socializing, education, and developing skills depending on the members’ needs.
